COMPOSER
Braden Allison is a theatrical composer currently based in Manhattan, NY, but originally from South Bend, IN. They have composed a myriad of theatrical pieces ranging from musical theatre and opera to contemporary dance pieces and incidental music for plays.
They double majored in Music and Theatre at Ball State University and are studying composition privately with Tony Award winning composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza, Floyd Collins). While in New York, they have presented their work in cabaret venues such as 54Below and Reverie Room, Educational Spaces such as 92NY, and private workshop spaces such as DGF and The Tank.
Currently, Braden is developing a musical adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's Deadeye Dick (1982). It was presented as a reading for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and will have further development in NYC this fall. They are also collaborating on two original works separatley with playwrights Terry Guest, and Laura Kloser.
